The primary purpose of the athletic program at the Goshen Central School District is to promote our students’ physical, mental, social, emotional and moral well-being. The district believes that participation in athletics contributes to a well-rounded education and gives students experiences that help them succeed outside of school.

Athletic Schedule

The Orange County Interscholastic Athletic Association (OCIAA) has created a Goshen Central School District schedule page that provides athletic teams’ schedules and important information related to all Goshen teams. As an added bonus, parents have the option of signing up to receive automatic notifications related to date, time or facility changes, as well as game cancellations via email or text.

Athletic Placement Process Information

Parents of 7th and 8th graders interested in testing up to play a high school level sport please see below:

There are a few steps to the Athletic Placement Process to allow your 7th/8th grade student to test up and try out for a JV/Varsity level team. First, we need a recommendation from their modified/travel coach (official form required).  Second, we need a maturity form completed by their doctor. Third, your student must be registered for the test up process. Once all of these steps are completed, then we can schedule them for the physical test.

Meeting Nov. 6 for parents/guardians of modified athletes interested in playing JV/varsity

The Athletic Department will host an athletic placement information meeting at 5 p.m. Nov. 6 in the Goshen High School library. Parents and guardians of middle school athletes (grades 7 and 8) who are interested in testing up to play on JV or varsity teams should attend. All athletic placement process forms are due on or before Nov. 6.

Email Christina Oliveras, senior secretary for athletics, with questions.
