On the third Tuesday in May, residents from across New York State go to the polls to vote on the following year’s school district budget and to elect members to the Board of Education.
The annual budget vote takes place from 6 a.m. to 9 p.m. in the Board of Education Room at the Main Street Building, 227 Main Street, Goshen.
In early May, district residents will receive a special budget newsletter in the mail that explains the details of the proposed budget. If you do not receive a copy of the newsletter, contact District Clerk Cindy Brown at 615-6720 and one will be mailed to you. Important budget information will also be posted on this website.

June 14, 2011 - The Goshen Central School District
offered a 12-question voter exit survey at the budget vote on May 17,
2011. After voting, residents were offered a voluntary and anonymous
paper survey, which was set up on two tables outside the Main Street
Board of Education Room polling location.

Results from the 2011-12 budget vote
May 17, 2011 - On May 17, district residents passed
the proposed budget for 2011-12 by a vote of 1,401
yes votes to 754 no votes. The school bus purchase proposition passed
with 1,190 yes votes and 871 no votes, and the Capital Reserve Fund
proposition also passed, with 1,221 yes votes and 797 no votes.
Tom Frederick and Loretta Richner
were elected to the Board of Education with 1,383 votes and 1,270 votes,
respectively. District officials would like to thank the members
of the Goshen community for their continued support of our schools.
