Absentee ballots are
available if you are:
- Unable to vote in person
because of illness.
- Planning to be out of the
area on vacation or business.
- Confined to prison due to
conviction of an offense other than a felony.
- Accompanying a spouse, parent
or child of the same residence who can't come
to the polls for one of the above reasons.
How do I get an absentee
ballot?
Applications for absentee ballots are available at
the Main Street Administration Building. Please
make your request to District Clerk Cindy Brown at
615-6720.
When are
absentee ballots due? All applications for an
absentee ballot must be completed as follows:
- The
application must be dated, signed and returned
at least seven (7) days before the election if
the ballot is to be mailed to the voter.
--or--
- The
application must be dated, signed and returned
to the District Clerk by no later than the day
before the election if the voter will personally
pick up the absentee ballot.
All absentee
ballots must be received by the District Clerk by
5 p.m. on the
day of the vote.
