Goshen High School students receive academic letters, pins

October 27, 2011 – More than 120 students at Goshen High School were recently recognized for academic excellence.

For the second consecutive year, sophomores, juniors and seniors were honored for achieving the honor roll for all four marking periods during the previous school year. Students who achieved this accomplishment for the first time were presented with an academic letter, and those who had previously received this honor were presented with an academic pin.

Superintendent Daniel T. Connor and former Goshen High School Principal Robert Litz conceived the idea last year to recognize high-achieving scholars with academic letters and pins – similar to how athletes are recognized for their accomplishments with varsity letters.

Each student was congratulated by Connor, Interim Goshen High School Principal James Polunci, Assistant Superintendent for Curriculum and Instruction Jane Unhjem and Board of Education President James Kimiecik.
