October
28, 2011 - Passers by of the Scotchtown
Avenue Elementary School will have a little
something extra to smile about this fall.
Thanks to the generosity and kindness of Head Custodian Garry VandeWeert and his wife, retired bus driver Joan VandeWeert, the school has a little extra curb appeal.
On October 24, the VandeWeerts spent the evening decorating the front yard with a beautiful fall scene, complete with pumpkins, mums, corn stalks and scarecrows.
The VandeWeerts have created this
fall display at Scotchtown Avenue for several years. Everyone at SAS
looks forward to the display and appreciates the
VandeWeerts' generosity and time.
