October 31, 2011 - The students of the Scotchtown Avenue Elementary School is participating in the "Collect A Million Club" school recycling project to benefit the Ronald McDonald House of the Greater Hudson Valley, located at Maria Fareri Children’s Hospital in Valhalla.
Please help your child collect pull tabs from canned beverages. Classroom teachers will collect the tabs, and the students will count them and send them to the Ronald McDonald House. Ronald McDonald himself will make an appearance during an upcoming assembly at Scotchtown Avenue.
The Ronald McDonald House of the Greater Hudson Valley is a non-profit organization that provides a "home away from home" for families of critically ill or traumatically injured children who are being treated at the Maria Fareri Children's Hospital. The pull tab recycling program generate funds to help underwrite the cost of a night’s stay.
