GHS Teen Republicans clean up adopted highway

November 1, 2011 – On October 8, members of the Goshen High School Teen Republicans tidied up a section of Route 207 that the club had “adopted” through the Adopt-A-Highway Program.

The adopted section stretches from Main Street in front of the Government Center for one mile out of town.

The Teen Republicans participate in a number of activities throughout the school year, including “Light the Night,” a fundraiser for leukemia research, and placing flags at veterans’ headstones in the Orange County Veterans Cemetery in recognition of Veterans Day.

Throughout the year, the Teen Republicans raise money for worthy causes, host guest speakers, and debate political issues with the Goshen High School Progressive Party.
