Father/Son Fitness Night for fourth graders to be held February 7

January 17, 2012 - The Third Annual Fourth Grade Father/Son Fitness Night will be held from 6:30-8 p.m. on Tuesday, February 7 in the Goshen Intermediate School gym. The event is hosted by Physical Education Teacher Mike Turi.

The main focus of the evening is the importance of living a healthy life style. The World of Rope Jumping will be performed with individual and group rope jumping activities. Other activities will be explained such as walking trails, bike riding, yardwork and youth sport programs. Websites such as America on the Move, NFL Rush and the Walking Site will also be discussed.

All participants must wear proper footwear and athletic attire. The GIS PTO will provide healthy snacks and drinks in the cafeteria following this event.

Participants will be given a wristband and certificate of participation for this fun-filled evening of fitness.

Permission forms will be sent home with fourth grade boys and must be turned in by January 31. Download and print a permission form (PDF)
