30, 2012 - Second grade students sang their hearts out this week!
All second graders participated in this year's chorus concert, titled
"Get American Singing."
Students performed such classic American songs as our National Anthem, the Star Spangled Banner and My Bonnie Lies Over the Ocean. Parents even joined in for a sing-a-long on two well-known classics; She'll be Coming 'Round the Mountain and I've Been Workin' on the Railroad. More than 200 parents, family members and friends attended each showing.
"Many thanks to Music Teacher Betty Olivo for working so hard with Scotchtown's upperclassmen to put on this enjoyable concert," said Principal Amy Peluso. "The halls of Scotchtown have been and continue to be filled with music and joy thanks to Mrs. Olivo's hard work, enthusiasm, and dedication."
