7, 2012 - Throughout May and June, the Goshen varsity
cross country team conducted its
third annual Cross
Country Youth
Club for students in grades
4-6.
During this time, members
of the 2012 varsity cross country team, led by
coaches John Russo and Kyle Lewis, introduced the concept of distance
running and pacing to the youth club in order to be successful cross
country runners. Students also focused on proper warm up runs and
stretching in order to prevent muscle fatigue and injury, along with
proper cool downs after their workout. Each student received a Goshen
cross country T-shirt for their participation in the club.
