The
Buildings and Grounds Department has been busy getting our schools ready
for another school year.
In addition to the department's regular cleaning, mowing and maintenance, the Buildings and Grounds employees have taken one two major projects; one with the help of Goshen's football team.
Members of the JV and Varsity Football team purchased paint and joined their coaches to paint the walls of the high school weight room with stripes of red, white and blue, in honor of the district's colors. The boys also labored in uprooting the worn, cracked tile floor that was in need of replacement. Employees of the Buildings and Grounds Department then replaced the floor with new rubber matting. The matting is extremely durable and easy to clean.
The
Goshen Intermediate School gymnasium floors were refinished as well. The
floors take a beating throughout the school year due to the large number
of physical education classes and other activities that take place
during the school year. Now the floors look shiny and new, and are ready
for students to enjoy in the fall.
