CJH supply lists for 2011-12 school year

Grade 6 Yellow Team

Please come prepared with the following supplies. Please have all supplies in class no later than Wednesday, September 7.

  • Post-It notes (small)

  • One box of 8 twistable crayons

  • One - 2” binder

  • Two– 1” binders

  • Two pocket folders

  • One zippered pencil case for three-ring binder

  • Loose leaf paper (ample supply)

  • #2 Pencils (ample supply)

  • Two marble composition notebooks

  • 1 dozen dividers

To be collected for general use by students:

  • Two boxes tissues

Grade 6 Purple Team

Please come prepared with the following supplies. Please have all supplies in class no later than Monday, September 12.

To be collected for general use by the students:

  • Two boxes of tissues

  • One Package of pencils

To be collected for student’s personal use during the year:

  • Two yellow highlighters

  • One large glue stick

  • Crayons (pkg. of 8 twistable - recommended)

  • Package of Post-It notes (3 x 3)

  • Package of index cards (3 ½ x 5)

For you to keep:

  • Three one (1) inch durable binders (different colors, if possible)

  • A two (2) inch durable binder

  • One durable pocket folders to fit into a three-ring binder

  • One pencil case for three-ring binder

  • Loose leaf paper - Bring a small amount. Leave at home to restock later.

  • Pencils - Bring a few and leave the rest at home to restock later.

  • Two marble composition notebooks

Grade 6 Maroon Team

Please come prepared with the following supplies. Please have all supplies in class by Thursday, September 8.

  • One 2” durable binder

  • Three 1” binders (different colors, if possible)

  • One 3-ring pencil case

  • Three durable hole punched pocket folders

  • Two hard cover marble composition books

  • Loose leaf paper (ample supply)

  • Pencils (ample supply)

  • Colored pencils (any brand - small box is fine)

  • Blue/black pens

  • Highlighter

  • Glue stick

  • Scissors (small, to fit in pencil case)

  • Two packs of white, lined 3 x 5 index cards

Grade 7 Red Team

General supplies needed for ALL classes:

Social Studies

Math

  • Notebook - Strongly recommend a 5-subject spiral notebook (used only for Math). Spiral is recommended because you will need a great deal of paper

  • Other options: One 1-inch binder OR a section in a larger zipper-type binder

  • Five function calculator (+ , - , x , ÷ , square root) or scientific calculator

Science (Physical Science and Biology: Living Environment)

  • One 2-3 inch 3-ring binder or a section in a larger binder

  • Supply of 3 x 5 index cards

  • Four pocket folders with clips

  • Five binder rings (these are metal rings, like in a binder, that will be used to hold index cards)

  • Five Function Calculator (+ , - , x , ÷ , square root) – not needed for Biology

Social Studies

  • One 1 inch 3 ring binder (used only for Social Studies)

  • Three dividers to be placed in notebook

  • One package of colored pencils (will be needed at home for homework assignments)
