High School gymnasium
15, 2012 - The beginning of a new school year brings along many
changes – a new grade level, new teachers, even new friends. One change
that Goshen students, parents, staff and community members can celebrate
together is the newly updated Gladiator logo.
The new logo boasts a Gladiator helmet, as in the
past, but with a modern twist. Another difference is that there is no
longer a face within the Gladiator helmet – the district wanted the new
logo to embrace all nationalities and genders.
“The new logo is a modernized version of the former
logo – we are and always will be the Goshen Gladiators,” said Thomas
Heinzelman, interim director of athletics/assistant principal at Goshen
High School. “The look of the updated logo gives a sense of strength and
determination, characteristics that fully describe our students and

The new logo is centered on the gym floor,
surrounded by the newly painted, shining hardwood floors. As the focal
point of the gymnasium, the new logo is a reminder to the community and
visitors of the district’s immense pride in its athletes and students.
“The updated logo will simply enhance the strong
sense of Gladiator pride that already exists within the Goshen
community,” said Superintendent Daniel Connor.
