District seeking donations for Unhjem family

August 20, 2012 - The Goshen Central School District is helping to collect monetary donations for the Unhjem family. Jane Unhjem, assistant superintendent for curriculum and instruction, passed away on Sunday, August 19 from injuries sustained from a plane crash in Long Island. Her husband, Erik, was also on the plane and is at the Stony Brook University Hospital Medical Center with critical injuries.

District seeking monetary donations: The district has received several phone calls and visits from community members who are looking for ways to help the Unhjem family during their time of need. The district has been in contact with Jane and Erik’s children, Gayle and Matthew, and they are in need of monetary assistance to help with expenses while they are by their father’s side. If you would like to make a cash donation (cash only, please), visit Mary Ellen Nutley or Cindy Brown at the Main Street Building, 227 Main Street in Goshen.

Donate via PayPal: A family friend set up an account where people can make donations to the Unhjems using their PayPal accounts. There is also an address for people who would like to mail a donation in the form of a check. To make a donation, view the Unhjem Family Fundraiser page.
