Culture Research
Around the world there are a variety of
countries that speak Spanish as their main language. The
cultures of these countries can vary widely. We will become
experts on a number of these cultures and compare them to
the culture of the United States.
Spanish Speaking Countries
This project should incorporate basic information on Spanish
speaking countries. You will be assigned a country in class,
and you will create a PowerPoint presentation about your
assigned country. You will research your Spanish Speaking
country, in the computer lab, for seven days. You will use
sources such as Culture-Grams, Print Electronic
Encyclopedias, Note taking device, sample project about
Ecuador, interactive websites, etc. Finally, on the seventh
day you will have your project ready to upload to Moodle.
Requirements:

presentation must have 5 slides

Each page should have a citation that shows where you
gather information and pictures from.

Day 1
We will review how to use the power point program and we
will also explore some of the web sources provided for your
research such as
www.cia.gov and
http://online.culturegrams.com/kids/index.php.
We will look at public domain vs. non-public domain
websites, copyright, and how to cite sources.
We will answer the questions on our scavenger hunt during
class, this will be a classroom activity/homework.

attractions of your country. Make sure to label the
picture and be clear as why this is an important picture.

exports. Compare and contrast your Spanish Speaking
country with the U.S.A

culture-grams, cite your sources.

Share
amazing/wow facts about your country in this slide. In
culture-grams you will find many facts
Choose effects & transitions for your power point.
Link music, videos, recipes and photos to your PowerPoint.
Upload your power point file to Moodle.

Save your Power Point into your student folder (J
