Culture Research
Introduction:
Around the world
there are a variety of countries that speak Spanish as their
main language. The cultures of these countries can vary
widely. We will become informed on a number of these
cultures and compare them to the culture of the United
States.
First, we will do a
systematic search in class by using books about each of the
Spanish speaking countries. You will have two days to read,
search, take notes, and organize your information. Please
use the sheet of paper given to write your notes.
Afterwards, we will go to the computer lab.
You will research a Spanish
speaking country of your choice. We will work in the
computer lab, during our Spanish class, for six days. You
will search your Spanish country by using sources such as
the students resource center, Culturegrams, Print Electronic
Encyclopedias, and the sample project about Ecuador (during
Spanish class). Finally, on the fifth day you will have your
project ready to present in class.
If you need extra time to
work in your power point please make sure to let me know and
sign up for the after school computer lab usage. I will be
happy to help you.
