             Lets Read!

 The “Vamos a leer project” is about reading a biography in English regarding a famous Latin person. For example, you could read about Pablo Picasso, Gabriela Mistral, Diego Rivera, Frida Kahlo, Jose Marti, etc. Then, you will have to provide a summary of the book you read. Choose one of the following choices:

•  Summary as on a word document

•  Summary as a power point presentation

• Summary as a pretzy presentation (Advanced)

Once you have finished your book literary analysis you have to uploaded it into my Moodle page, the the section

"Latinos Famosos"

Grading criterion

·        Label each page (Page 1, Page 2, etc)

·        Search for a picture that is "free to re-use" or label as public domain. (Google Advanced Search)

·        Write a citation stating where you got the picture and information from.

·        Copy and paste the URL

• Please take into consideration grammar, punctuation, order of events, examples to explain character traits and contributions.

      Page 1:

1)       Write a short paragraph about this person’s life.

·        Where was he/she born?

·        When was she/he born?

·        Who were their parents?

·        What was their childhood like?

·        What was their major struggle in their life?

·        Did they have any health issues?

·        What did they accomplish early in life?

·        Who was their inspiration/role model?

·        What have they become in their life?

2)       Search for a picture of the person you are reading about

            Pictures should be "label for re-sue" or copyright free and they should have a citation.

3)        List some of their most famous work & list the most important awards they have received in chronological order.
