Homework Policy

The homework that your teachers assign during the course of the year is very important.  It is your job to complete it carefully and to the best of your ability.  The purpose of homework is to introduce new information in preparation for an upcoming class, or review and practice work that has already been done.

We take homework very seriously.  You should too.  That is why homework plays a role in the grade that you receive each marking period.  Below, you will find how your homework grade is determined.

Homework completed on time (neatly & carefully)                                 100

Homework not completed ( or carelessly thrown together)                          0

Late homework completed by Friday of the week assigned                       70

Late homework completed by Friday of the following week                     50

No late work will be accepted after the end of the second week

All of your homework grades get averaged together every five weeks. 

Do your best and take pride in your work.  It will pay off in many positive ways.
