SPEECH DEPARTMENT GUIDELINES AND EXPECTATIONS

1.  Students are expected to bring their speech notebook and signed homework to each speech session.

2.  Students with articulation and processing difficulties should participate in oral practice for 5-10 minutes per day at home.  Language students should practice vocabulary, reading, decoding, writing and/or organizational skills every day at home. Homework practice contributes greatly to achieving goals and making progress.

3.  Students should come to speech with a desire to learn, so that they can take advantage of the strategies presented, which will help them to become better communicators.
