Independent Projects

Independent projects account for 20% of your overall grade in Social Studies.  Students will be assigned projects related to the content being studied in class that they will be expected to complete at home independently.  Depending on the project’s requirements, students will be given between 1 and 4 weeks to complete the assignment.  Students are welcome to turn in their projects early if they complete it before the due date.  If a student needs help with their project, then they need to schedule time to stay with me for extra help before the project is due.   An independent project that is not turned in on time will lose 5 points for every day that it is late.  I will not accept independent projects that are more than 1 week late.  Additionally, I will not accept independent projects after the last day of a marking period.

Due:  Thursday, November 20th
