Plagiarism Awareness:
As a teacher and student for life, I am
fully aware of the papers that appear on the internet
for free or for sale. Using another’s work as your own
is plagiarism. Using part of another’s works as your
own without correct citation is also plagiarism. See my
plagiarism sheet for examples. To help you avoid the
accidental use of plagiarism, you will need to submit
your paper to Turnitin.com for review. They will then
send me a copy of any problems with plagiarism.
Depending on the severity of the plagiarism, I will then
require you to attend a meeting with your parent(s),
guidance, administration, and myself to discuss the
issue as well as a resolution. This plan is to help you
not receive a 0 for a major project that may indeed
affect your graduation status.
