Shakespeare Research Project

Task:

 

1.  Learn to complete research following MLA guidelines.  From this, you will create learn how to research, create note cards, source cards, an outline, and a Works Cited page.

2.  Create a final project based on your research: essay, poster, model, or PowerPoint presentation. 

3.  Present Your Projects to the class!

 

 

Process:

Research:

Research one of the topics through books and through the internet.   * You MUST use at least one book.

 

a.  You may not use any encyclopedia.

b.  Create note cards with your information.  Due Jan. 13

c.  Create a source card for each resource used. Due Jan. 9

     The source cards will be used to create your Works Cited page.

d.  Create the Works Cited page. Due Jan. 12

e.  Create an outline (Typed). Due Jan. 19

f.  Create the Final Project. Due Feb. 3

    

 

*You MUST have a Works Cited page so you do not get a 0 for PLAGIARISM.

 

 

Final Project:

1.  Essay: Type a five-paragraph informative essay about your topic while using parenthetical documentation.

 

2.  Create a poster illustrating your topic.  Posters must be detailed, neat, informative, and cited according to MLA.  Posters MUST be on Poster Paper and in color.

 

3.  Create a model about your topic.

 

4.  PowerPoint.

   Create 7-10 slides about your selected topic: Shakespeare’s life, the Globe     theatre, or “Life in Elizabethan England.”

 

    Include pictures to illustrate your topic.  You must have at least 2  

    pictures (Title page and inside presentation itself).

   

            a.  Remember to get copyright information for all pictures.

 

   Create the title page and table of contents.

This is a major assignment for the quarter.  Click here for the rubric.  Remember, the more work you put into this project, the better your grade will be.
