Course Description:

Regents Chemistry presents any student, regardless of skill or ability, with a modern outlook to Chemistry. This forty-week course provides students with a problem-solving basis for understanding and unifying the principles of Chemistry.  The principles a student studies in this course will help the student interact with the world around them in a more informed and educated manner.

The topics covered this academic year include: matter and energy, atomic structure, bonding, the periodic table of elements, mathematics of chemistry, kinetics and equilibrium, acid-base theories, redox, electrochemistry, organic chemistry and nuclear chemistry.

Extra help is available after school or during a study hall or lunch period.  If a student wants extra help they are encouraged to contact the teacher.
