- The Civil Rights Movement
- The Vietnam War
- Current Issues

Students
will be developing a variety of skills that will
help them for both the NYS Regents Exam and
college. These skills include:
- writing
- reading comprehension
- analysis (a very important skill, especially
for college)
- making
connections across time and place
- developing and supporting opinions about
historical and current events
- interpreting historical documents - primary
sources, maps, graphs, art, and literature
