Lessons are offered in 4th and 5th grades on flute, clarinet, oboe, bassoon, saxophone, trumpet, French horn, trombone, baritone, tuba, drums and vibes.
Students may perform in a beginning band or an advanced band. There is also a select 5th grade jazz band and an auditioned jazz club that includes 5th - 8th graders.
The bands meet twice a week. Advanced band rehearses on Monday and Wednesday mornings at 8:00 a.m. and the beginning band on Thursday and Friday mornings, also at 8:00 a.m. The 5th grade jazz band meets at recess on Fridays and the Jazz Club practices every Wednesday night at 7:00 p.m.
