My name is Mary
Sharoff and I am an Academic Intervention (AIS)
teacher. My degrees are in Elementary and Special
Education with a master’s degree in Gifted and
Talented Education. My current interest focuses
on
literacy with an emphasis on struggling readers and
writers. This is my twenty-fifth year teaching at
Scotchtown Avenue Elementary School. I have
taught first grade, second grade, and multi-age
classes at SAS. I have also taught inclusion classes
at the first and second grade levels as well as
self-contained Special Education classes.
I look forward to an
exciting, enjoyable, and educational school year.
With your help, I would like to make your
son/daughter’s AIS experience a successful one.
If you have any
questions or concerns, please feel free to contact
me at any time. You can reach me at the school
(615-6600), by sending in a note with your son or
daughter, or by e-mail at msharoff@gcsny.org.
You can expect a response within a day or two.
I am looking forward to
a wonderful school year!
