Welcome to Monsieur Lewis' NEW webpage!  I hope that you will find this page useful throughout the school year. Many new features have been added to my website and can be accessed at any time, from any location.  You can see exactly what we're doing in class on any given day using the "daily lesson agenda." You can also download and print most assignments using the "curriculum" links (organized by chapter).  Additional features include: monthly birthdays, vocabulary flashcards, French links, class expectations, student work, and extra credit assignments. Have you been using your moodle recently? If not, you should be! Click here or scroll down for more information on moodle.  

We will be using resources like moodle and Edmodo throughout the school year. On moodle and Edmodo, you will find many quizzes, links, and projects. You can also submit multimedia projects using Edmodo. All of my assignments, worksheets, notes, and classwork have been moved to the curriculum section of this webpage. In addition, all of the PowerPoint notes and in-class activities are available, organized by chapter. Whether you're absent, on vacation, or you forgot your French binder at school, this website is the answer. Extra credit assignments may also be offered on moodle, Edmodo, and my website each marking period.

• Your username is the first initial of your first name and your full last name.  For example, if your name is Michael Lamonica, your username would be mlamonica.

  *Moodle is an interactive course management program that allows more options for instruction and multimedia.  The link above will direct your browser away from the Goshen homepage, but the moodle site is hosted on a Goshen server.  All district policies for acceptable use and behavior apply to the use of the Goshen moodle site. 

French Info:

8TH GRADE FRENCH  In 8th grade, students are afforded the opportunity for a fresh start.  This course is designed for students who may not have taken French in 7th grade.  Much of the first half is review, with some expanded vocabulary and grammar topics.  In the second half of the year, we will focus on new topics and preparing for the exam at the conclusion of the year.

PARENTS  Please send me an e-mail if you have any concerns regarding your child's progress.  If you would like to be added to my mailing list, please submit an e-mail request with "add me" as the subject or fill out the form above.  I can be reached by e-mail at klewis@gcsny.org. If you would prefer to communicate by phone, you can call the main office and leave a message with a secretary.  I will get back to you as soon as possible.
