Late homework in Moodle
You will have a week to complete and hand in your
assignments without penalty. After a week I will take 5
points off the total grade for every day your assignment
is late. Partial credit will be given to late
assignments.
Make up work
If
you are absent you are responsible for making up any
work that you missed.
Pick up any handouts that were distributed while you
were absent from the file box located at the back of the
room. You can also print handouts given in class from my
website & from my Moodle page (grammar section and
vocabulary section).
If
you missed a quiz or test you will have until the end of
the marking period to make up that test. I will assign a
time after school for you to make up the test.
Test & quiz and Assignments (Glosgter)
1.
If you are not satisfied with the test grade you
earned in the Spanish class, you will have the option to
retake that test/quiz after school in order to improve
your grade. When retaking a test follow these criteria:

Study the
correct answers for the questions you missed.

Schedule a
time after school to retake your test.
Attach your original test/quiz signed by your parents along
with the new test. (Tests that have not been signed by your
parent/guardian will not receive credit for the retake)
You
will receive 100% of the total score for each correct
answer.

If you are not satisfied with the grade you earned in
a written glog assignment, you will have the option to
rewrite the glog. When you are re-writing the glog follow
these criteria:

Schedule a time after school with me to review your grammar
errors together.

Once
you have corrected your grammar errors you can edit your
glog and re-submit for full credit.
Activities
In Moodle you can find
content pages, worksheets, vocabulary sheets, websites,
projects, etc.
During the first month of school we will practice together
so that you are familiar with my website and with my
Moodle page layout.
In
class:
At the beginning of each month of the school year, a song, a
rhyme or a tongue- twister will be taught. You will receive
an individual score for class participation. Podcasts in
Moodle.- (songs/rhymes &vocabulary words) have
been added to Moodle for you to download to your ipod.
(Listening skills- group participation 20%)
Quizzes in Class:
I will give you vocabulary words for every quarter period
(1st to 4th M. P.) You should
memorize 25 vocabulary words weekly. Every Friday you will
have vocabulary quiz in class.
Readings
in Moodle
you will have a “Reading Assessment” for each marking
period. It will take you about 20 minutes to read it, answer
the comprehension questions and to submit it. Quizzes in
Moodle.-You will listen to Avatars speak in Spanish
about different celebration in Spanish Speaking countries,
then you will answer to comprehension questions.
Assessments in Moodle.-At the end of each marking period
you wil have an assessment in Moodle. This assessment will
take you about an hour. (Test/Quizzes-in class & in
Moodle)& reading assessments 25%)
In
class:
Each month you will have a dialogue to study for an oral
lesson in class. You will receive individual grades for your
oral presentation. Avatars in Moodle.- You will
create two avatars during the school year and you will embed
them in Moodle. (Speaking skills-Oral lesson dialogues,
in class & in Moodle 25%)
In
class:
we will work on different guided writing essays.
(Classwork 15%).
In
Moodle you will link your writing assignments from
EDU.Glogster. You may add music, graphics and links to
each writing piece. (Homework 15%)
