Me!
My name is Elena Jordon, and I am a seventh grade ELA
teacher at the C.J. Hooker Middle School in Goshen, NY. I am 31 years
old, and I graduated from Goshen High School in 1998. I received my
Bachelor's Degree from Mount Saint Mary College in 2002 and my Master's
Degree from the New York Institute of Technology in 2005. I got married
in 2005 to my husband, Mark. I have a step-daughter named Lydia who is
nine years old. My daughter, Abigail, is four years old.
I am interested in a
number of things. Of course, I love to read! My all time favorite
authors are Charlotte Bronte and Nicholas Sparks. Recently, I have
become more interested in reading the books of fantasy and science
fiction authors, such as Stephenie Meyer, Suzanne Collins, Cassandra
Clare, and Charlaine Harris. Also, I love to listen to all different
types of music and attend as many concerts as I can. I especially enjoy
listening to The Dave Matthews Band, Maroon 5, and anything from the
90’s. Other things I love to do are clean and organize, spend time with
my husband and daughters, go on vacations, and shop. My favorite sport
to play or watch is baseball, and my favorite team is the New York Mets.
Fall is my favorite season, because the weather gets cooler, the leaves
turn beautiful colors, and there a ton of fun things to do like apple
and pumpkin picking! I also love Halloween and Thanksgiving! Some other
interests of mine are yoga, cooking, baking, crafting, and the Internet.
I also love getting together with family and friends. I have no pets,
but I would love to get a dog and a large fish tank when we move into a
bigger home.
