Students make guacamole

Seventh grade students in Gaby Ackert's Spanish classes prepared home made guacamole in celebration of "The Day of the Death" on November 2. This is a Hispanic holiday that honors the memory of the people we love who have passed away. In addition to the guacamole preparation, students watched a movie from Mexico and a video about how to make an altar, a tradition for the Day of the Death.
