Opening Day at Goshen Central School District

 

The Goshen Central School District celebrated its Opening Day ceremonies on Thursday, September 1, in anticipation of the first day of school for students on Tuesday, September 6. The ceremony included a welcome from Superintendent Daniel T. Connor and Board of Education President James Kimiecik.

During the ceremony, Jane Unhjem, assistant superintendent for curriculum and instruction, honored several faculty and staff members for serving the students of our district for 20 years or more. They received congratulations from Unhjem, Connor and Kimiecik, as well as Board of Education members Loretta Richner, Robert Kish and Judy Green, and Vice President Adam Boese.

  • Honored for 20 years at Goshen Schools: Nila Vadala, Margaret Schumacher, Jane Kalleberg, Meri O’Hara, Judith Derderian, Jean Barrett, Jeri Ann Krish, Linda Kowalczyk. Missing is Richard Sosler.
  • Honored for 25 years at Goshen Schools: Melissa Ochs and Paul Kowalczyk.
  • Honored for 30 years of at Goshen Schools: Angela Hoffman, Ellie Knieriemen, John Davis and Mike Turi. Missing is Veann Hansen.
  • Honored for 35 years at Goshen Schools: Joanne Slesinski, Stephanie Noha and Robert Karchawer.
