Congratulations to our modified track team, who successfully hosted the
Goshen Invitational meet yesterday.
The girls team came in 4th place overall, out of 12 schools. Highlights
include: Seriah Durandisse, who came in 2nd place in the 100 meter dash,
and the 4X1 relay team, who also finished in 2nd place. Also scoring
points for the girls were: Kelly McCloud, Catherine Hughes, Adrian
Cepeda, Charlotte Martindale, and the girls 4x2 relay team.
The boys had an impressive performance yesterday as well, coming in 2nd
place overall. Griffin DeClerck came in 1st place in triple jump, while
Dariel Duverge came in 2nd. The boys 4x100 relay team finished in 1st
place, and Max Pizarro came in 2nd place in the 200 meter hurdles.
Other athletes scoring for Goshen included: Anton Castellanos, Joey Kall,
Michael Sager, Evan Kowalzcyk, Dan Donovan, and the boys 4x2 relay team.
We would also like to recognize a few first place winners from last
Friday's Marlboro Invitational. Catherine Hughes set a new meet record
in the 1500m, Lauren Colella set a meet record in the 800 meter
steeplechase, and Dariel Duverge broke the record in the 100 meter dash.
Please return your uniforms ASAP and pick up your prizes from Coach
Lewis.
Coaches Haller, Weir, and Lewis would like to thank all track athletes
for a great season! Goshen modified track... Taking the "slow motion"
