Morning Announcements for Tuesday, October 7, 2008,

Student Government club meets at 2:30 today in room
238. Teachers, please dismiss Student Government
members with the bus rider bell so that they can
make it to the meeting by 2:30.
Today is a terror Tuesday in the library. Pick up a
pass after 8am to come to the library during your
lunch period to play monster trivia.
Math support meetings for 6th graders will begin
today, Oct. 7, 2:30-3:00 in Mr. Dornfest’s Room 201.
Topic: Addition & Subtraction of Decimals.
7/8 Girls Leadership will have its first meeting on
today, Oct. 7th, at 2:30 PM, in Room 216. All young
women in the 7th and 8th Grade are invited to
attend.
The French Club meets Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday
in room 144 and is open to all grades. Come one day
or all 3 days!
The First informational meeting for those interested
in joining the Science Olympiad team is from
2:30-3:00 on Wed. the 8th in Mr. Hills' Tech Room.
Tomorrow (10/8) is Picture Day.
Need something to do on Tuesdays and Thursdays
after school? Now is the time to get a buddy and
try Zumba, an aerobics dance class. It’s simple
steps and exercises set to music.
Session I begins on Tuesday, October 21. We
plan to meet every Tuesday and Thursday from
2:30-2:55 in the new gym and hope to see both
students and teachers participate.
See Mrs. Bigg for a permission slip if you are
interested. Don’t delay as space in the class is
limited.
Young Hispanic Leadership will have its first
meeting in the Library on Wednesday, October 15th,
at 2:25 PM. Please see Senora Ackert or Senora
Miller to receive a pass from period 9.
The Dancing Club will have their 1st meeting on
Friday October 17th on Sra. Ackert's room, room 232.
Reader's Clubs will kick off the 2008-2009 school
year over the lunches during the week of October
20th:
Tuesday, October 20th: 6th Grade reading "A Week in
the Woods."
Wednesday, October 22nd: 6th Grade reading "Donuthead."
Thursday, October 23rd: 8th Grade reading "Life As
We Knew It."
Friday, October 24th: 7th Grade reading "Wolfrider."
