Welcome to Mr. Zamorski's Classroom Web Page!

This year we are going to make huge strides in our mathematics learning.  I'm excited for the opportunity to teach and learn here a C.J. Hooker Middle School.  Math is a very serious and important topic, but I know we will have much fun together while learning in a classroom environment of mutual respect, humor, and caring. 

About Me

My undergraduate background is primarily in mathematics education.  At SUNY College at Oneonta, I received my bachelor of science in elementary education, with a mathematics concentration.  During this time, I discovered my love for teaching mathematics.  My graduate work has been focused on providing instruction for students with special needs.  At East Stroudsburg University, I am working towards a masters in special education.  My personal goal in teaching is to reach every child, addressing their needs as individuals.

I am currently certified to teach mathematics through grade twelve.  However, My passion lies right here in middle school.  I love and enjoy working with children, and look forward to many more years of teaching at this age level.

Personal interests

  • I enjoy learning about and teaching with technology.  In my classroom, I use a SMART Board, SMART Slate, Elmo Visual Presenter, and the Elmo Slate in unison with personal computers and wireless laptop use.http://pixabay.com/get/100065da849b3a27686b/1363098140/brown-30111.png
  • I enjoy coaching youth sports.  In general, I am an avid fan of many sports, especially including baseball, basketball, hockey, football, and weight lifting.
  • While mathematics is my favorite school subject, I enjoy reading and writing and personally believe that "talking math" through math vocabulary practice is a key performance indicator of mathematics success.
