Ms. Bradshaw's Course Outline
Welcome
to 7th grade Math! I’m excited about the
opportunity to get to know you and am looking
forward to a happy and productive school year.
Curriculum areas we will focus on this year include:
Algebra – Equations,
Expressions, Inequalities
Number Sense – Operations
with Integers, square roots, scientific notation.
Geometry – Area, Perimeter,
Volume, Surface Area, Pythagorean Theorem.
Probability – Independent
and Dependent events.
Students are asked to bring the following supplies
to school each and every day:
Three ring binder (2-2½ inch) with lined paper,
graph paper and
5 dividers
Binder Pouch with: Pencils, pens, eraser, sharpener,
and a Protractor
Calculator TI-30xIIs – labeled with students name in
sharpie
Review Folder with 3 holes
Assignment pad
Homework
Homework
policy:
Homework will be assigned most every evening.
Students are responsible for making sure
they receive the assignment.
The grading breakdown is:
5 % Do Now -
Students need to be on
time, in their seat with their materials copying
the aim and solving do now in their binder
20 % Homework-
Students turn in homework
when it is due and have made an attempt to answer
all of the problems. Students can stay after to
get
help completing the assignment if they hand in an attempt
to complete it during class. ½ a point if it is
late.
10% Classwork-
Students inclass work
will be randomly selected to be graded.
35% Tests-
Usually one or two a
marking period.
30% Quizzes/Projects-
Usually one quiz a
week on the previous weeks material. Projects are
sporadically given through the year.
Extra Credit
-
Up to 4 points on over
all average per semester.
Assigned and posted on bulletin board at the
beginning of each semester.
Expectations:
* Come to class prepared and on time.
* Listen when others are speaking.
* Keep hands, feet, objects and unkind words to
yourself.
* Believe in yourself and your abilities.
* Keep a neat and organized notebook
* Smile :)

ABSENCES-
Students are responsible for class work and homework
missed while they were out. They need to ask for
their missed work before school or after school.
Requests made in the middle of class will not be
honored.
