Class Policy

Rules and Regulations

1) Show respect for your classmates and teachers.

2) Come to class on time and prepared to learn.

3) If you are absent, it is your responsibility to find out what you missed.

4) Note taking is a graded skill.

5) Homework is to be handed in on time.

6) Cell phones are turned off.

Grading

1) Unit tests are given every seven to ten days. Tests will be announced at least two days in advance. If you miss school the day before a test, and it was announced, you will take the test upon your return to school.

2) Homework is graded on a point scale of 0 to 5 points. Your homework grades will equal one major test grade for each quarter. It is important to complete all homework assignments.

3) Notebooks are required and will be checked periodically.

4) There will be three assigned research projects this year.  Failure to do them will result in an incomplete for the course.

5) Class participation is strongly encouraged; we reserve the right to raise your grade based upon your participation.

6) All tests and projects are major assignments; they must be completed on time and in their entirety.
