  College Planning Workshop for junior parents on March 23

March 19, 2010 - The Goshen Central High School Guidance Department will conduct a meeting for parents of eleventh grade students to discuss the college planning and admissions process. The meeting will take place at 7 p.m. March 23  in the high school auditorium. High school counselors will review the process and procedures involved in college selection, application and admission and give an overview of the financial aid process.
 
 
 
  GHS Performing Arts presents "Guys and Dolls" this weekend

March 18, 2010 – Goshen High School Performing Arts will present the musical "Guys and Dolls" at 7:30 p.m. on Friday, March 19 and Saturday, March 20; and at 1:30 p.m. on Sunday, March 21 in the GHS auditorium. More than 100 cast and crew members, as well as numerous faculty and parent volunteers, have been working on the show since January. A limited number of tickets are available for some performances. For tickets, call Mrs. Ferrara in the high school main office at 615-6100.

Guidance Department announces local scholarships

March 15, 2010 - Local Scholarships are now available for seniors! Scholarship packets have been distributed through Senior English classes. All materials are due to the Guidance Office no later than March 22.

  March breakfast, lunch menus now available online

March 1, 2010 - The March breakfast and lunch menus give our students the fuel they need to get through the day! The menus offer a variety of choices, from pizza to burgers, salads and sandwiches, so every student is sure to find something delicious -- and nutritious! In fact, school lunches provide one-third of the recommended dietary intake for calories, protein and vitamins A and C, iron and calcium. The March menus are now online -- take a look!

  Goshen Science Olympiad to compete in State Competition

February 11, 2010 – The Goshen High School Science Olympiad Team placed second at the regional competition on February 6 at SUNY Ulster. They will compete in the state competition on March 19-20 at West Point. Full story
 
 
 
  Robert Karchawer recognized by Harvard-Radcliffe Club

February 9, 2010 – Robert Karchawer, social studies teacher at the Goshen High School, was recently recognized by the Harvard-Radcliffe Club of the Hudson Valley for the exceptional impact he made on a former student, who is now a senior at Harvard University. Full story
 
 
 
  Physical Education Department names Students of the Month

Physical Education Students of the MonthFebruary 8, 2010 – The Physical Education Department of the Goshen High School has named its Physical Education Students of the Month for January.
